5.サーバ: September 2004アーカイブ

RedhatのErrataサポートが終り(RH7.1～8.0:2003/12/31、RH9:2004/4/30)、セキュリティアップデートは「Fedora Legacy Project」に引き継がれた。
現在、Redhat7.2と8.0についてはFedora Legacy Projectにおいてもそれぞれサポートの休止がアナウンスされている。

幸い、7.3と9についてはまだしばらくはサポートが続きそうである。
それぞれサイト上にyum、aptを使った適用の手順マニュアルが掲載されている。

まずはこのサイトのメインサーバであるRedhat7.3をyumに対応させ、Errataを適用してみよう。

前回の続き。OUI(Oracle Universal Installer)の起動からインストールの再開。

なんかキーボードのエミュレートでエラーが出ているが気にしない。


xtermの転送先ホストでインストーラ画面が表示されるのを確認する。

Redhat9(RH9)にOracle9iクライアントをインストールする。

Oracleは8.0.X系まではCUIインストールができたみたいなんだけど、以降はJAVAによるGUIインストールしか方法がないらしい。サーバにGUIなんぞいらない派としてはどうにも納得いかないが、入らんもんは入らんので…(悔。

まずはOTN(Oracle Technology Network) Japanから評価版をダウンロード。
ダウンロードしたのは「Oracle9i Database Release 2 (9.2.0.4) for Linux x86 30日間トライアル版」。無料だけどユーザ登録が必要なのねん。

かなり巨大なのでコーヒーでもすすりながらしばし待つ。
